Colours & Family Welfare
Feng Shui attaches great importance to the family welfare by taking care of all the members of the family individually.  When an adult son needs to be independent, the son is given a bed room located in the northern direction of the house. Northern direction should further be strengthened by means of using dark blue and/or black colour furnishings. Any object depicting three black tortoise in the northern direction is also helpful.

For stability and strength in the family, in particular, head of the family, northwest is promoted by use of golden, silver or grey colours.  It also promotes leadership and drive in the inmates of the family as well as increased realisation of their respective responsibilities.  A family photograph in this area ensures stability and harmony within the family. Southwest direction can be given a boost by use of brown, yellow, pink colours for promoting tranquillity and emotional security as well as relationship and mutual understanding.  It is most beneficial to the mother.

Dark green colour can be used in the east for eldest son’s prosperity and also to promote optimism in the family. Northeast direction can also be given strengthened by use of yellow and brown colours for promoting knowledge and spiritual contemplation, which will also strengthen decision making. Playroom or youngster’s bedroom is best suited in this area.

Date of birth is an important determinant of the birth element of a person. Alternatively, an assessment of the daily life activities and emotional responses prove quite helpful in deciding the then existing elemental traits of the person in question.
The energies are optimised for the benefit of the occupant based upon the elements of the members of the family or the owners of an organisation collectively as well as individually.  In order to meet the changed life situations or family status or even aspirations of the occupants, the treatment can be changed simply by reshuffling the objects or by adding and removing some.
Well assessed personality traits, life situations, expressed priorities of the querist and well coordinated application of feng shui tenets ensures greater health - spiritual, physical, material and emotional.
